Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder in an outpatient setting. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and deliver hands-on therapy.

Role includes orthotic fabrication, educating patients on splints, supervising OTAs and students, and collaborating with hand surgeons and clinicians as part of an interdisciplinary team. CPR/BLS and licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or OT Doctorate preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand/upper-extremity rehab.
• Document delivery of occupational therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OTAs, students, and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit custom orthoses and splints; educate patients.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative cases.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, therapists; participate in care planning.
