Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Core duties include patient evaluation, custom splinting, and developing recovery plans for upper-extremity conditions.

You will supervise OT assistants, fabricate orthoses, and collaborate with hand surgeons and clinicians to support post-surgical and injury rehab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide hand and upper-extremity therapy and splinting.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OT assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints; educate patients.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; scar management.
