Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, design custom splints, and develop recovery plans in collaboration with hand surgeons and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities include supervising aides and students, fabricating and educating on orthoses, and managing postoperative and injury rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit and adjust custom orthoses and splints; educate patients on use and care.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; provide scar management and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, therapists; participate in case discussions.
