Job summary

Vail Resorts in Beaver Creek, CO is hiring for Winter Seasonal roles including Lead Driver. You will lead a transportation team to move guests safely and efficiently, following all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Valid US Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
  • CDL Class A or B with air brake and passenger endorsement (at your own expense) required.
  • 2 years of CDL experience in a driving position required.
  • Current DOT medical certificate.
  • Pre-employment drug test is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead your transportation team to achieve daily goals.
  • Adhere to all safe driving regulations and standards.
  • Direct day-to-day work within the transportation function.
  • Enforce policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Address safety issues and notify senior management.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, operations, and other departments as needed.
  • Familiarize with all areas of transportation and functions.

Job Specifications
  • Starting Wage: $25.45/hr - $33.93/hr

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead your team to accomplish daily goals
  • Adhere to all safe driving regulations and standards
  • Direct day to day work within transportation function
  • Enforce policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Address safety issues and notify senior management
  • May resolve guest issues and concerns
  • Coordinate with dispatch supervisor, operations manager, and other departments and outside agencies as needed
  • Thoroughly familiarize with all areas of transportation and functions
  • Obey all laws of the highway and drive in a defensive manner
  • Fill out daily reports and notify the manager of any bus difficulties
  • Assist passengers to ensure they are properly seated
  • Handle passenger emergencies and disruptions
  • Safely transport small and large groups of people on and off property to various assigned locations
  • Maintain and clean buses
  • Report maintenance problems
  • Install and remove tire chains as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Valid US Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid US Commercial Driver's License, Class A or B with air brake and passenger endorsement (obtained at own expense) - Required
  • 2 years prior experience in CDL required driving position – Required
  • Current Medical Examination Report (valid for 2 years) - Required
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Pre-employment drug test
  • Current DOT medical certificate

The expected pay range is $25.45/hr - $33.93/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
