New Seasons Market is seeking a Lead Cashier in the Front End department. The role focuses on guiding department operations, operating the POS, and ensuring friendly customer service. Evening and weekend shifts may be required, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Ideal candidates have prior cashier and supervisory experience, familiarity with Front End processes, and proficiency with MS Office and POS software. This role is on-site at our Oregon/SW Washington locations.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, food service, retail or grocery experience preferred.
• Commitment to valuing diversity and an inclusive environment.
• Knowledge of retail Front End Departments/Lead Cashier experience highly preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Entry level to high level proficiency with MS Office. Working knowledge with POS, inventory or other retail specific software required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register, process and bag customer orders and perform carry-outs.
• Reconcile till and manage bank deposits.
• Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive team environment.
• May train new staff on registers and self-checkout.
• Troubleshoot transaction and equipment issues on registers and self-checkout.
• Maintain department conditions, appearance, signage, staffing and service levels.
