Plum Market is seeking a Lead Cashier to manage front-end operations, supervise cashiers and baggers, and ensure fast, friendly service across all checkout lanes. You will report to the Front End Manager and work to minimize wait times while maintaining accuracy in cash handling.

Qualifications

• Retail, grocery, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cashiering and cash handling best practices.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Manage all front-end operations during assigned shifts.
• Delegate tasks to cashiers, assistants, and baggers to ensure productivity and service goals.
• Monitor checkout lanes to ensure proper staffing and minimal wait times.
• Assist with complex or escalated transactions and customer concerns.
• Ensure all cash handling and register procedures are followed accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready front-end environment.
• Communicate shift performance, staffing notes, and operational updates to management.
• Support training by modeling best practices and reinforcing service standards.
• Uphold Plum Market’s policies, procedures, and safety standards.
