Job summary

Mother’s Market is seeking a Lead Cashier to deliver friendly, efficient service at the register and help supervise the cashier team. The role supports opening/closing procedures, coaching staff, and maintaining a welcoming checkout area.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, basic math, and reliability, with availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays. A friendly, mission-driven work environment and employee discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cashier or customer service experience required.
• Supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient, and accurate customer service at the register.
• Support daily front-end operations and assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Help train, coach, and support cashier team members.
• Assist with register balancing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
• Address customer questions and assist with issue resolution as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout and front-end areas.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and cash-handling standards.
• Support leadership in managing lines, breaks, and workflow.
• Promote Mother’s Market values, including wellness, sustainability, and community.
• Work collaboratively with store leadership and team members.
