Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced cashier team and support store operations. You will ensure outstanding customer service, direct cashiers and courtesy clerks, and assist with training and disciplinary actions as needed.

The role requires 1-2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training, a friendly demeanor, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical tasks include lifting and cart movement, with a focus on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front end equipment and perform basic math.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and push carts as described.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Ensure excellent customer service by directing and supporting cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Monitor cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks per policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and managing disciplinary actions.
• Oversee security and loss prevention by maintaining exit door visibility.
