Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier in California to lead a fast-paced cashier team and ensure exceptional customer service. The role oversees register operations, directs cashiers and courtesy clerks, and supports scheduling, training, and adherence to company policies.

A strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and accuracy is required. The Head Cashier will monitor cash-handling procedures, assist with hiring, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards across the front-end

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED, plus 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
Strong numerical and cash handling abilities.

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations.
Provide guidance and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks at registers.
Assist with customer inquiries at the register.
Schedule and oversee meals and breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
Participate in hiring and training of new cashiers and disciplinary actions as needed.
