Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier in California to lead a fast-paced register team and deliver exceptional customer service. You will mentor cashiers, oversee scheduling, and support hiring and training initiatives while upholding store policies and safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach to ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+, HS diploma or GED, and 1-2 years cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator and scanner.
• Strong math and cash handling skills; reads, writes and counts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor cashiers and courtesy clerks; ensure excellent service.
• Assist with customer issues at the register.
• Schedule store sweeps, monitor cash register supplies, maintain restrooms and parking lots.
• Maintain visibility of exit doors for security and loss prevention.
• Schedule and supervise meals and rest breaks in compliance with policy and state law.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and disciplinary actions.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.
