Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced cashier team and deliver exceptional service. This role focuses on customer satisfaction, training new cashiers, and ensuring smooth register operations across shifts.

You will supervise cashiers, monitor break schedules, and assist with store-wide operational issues, while maintaining a friendly, efficient checkout experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that changes with the business, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and the ability to be a role model in customer interactions.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment; register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Able to perform repetitious tasks, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service by proactively visiting registers and providing direction to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist with customer assistance issues at the register.
• Schedule and oversee proper meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training of new Cashiers and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain visibility of exit doors for security and loss prevention.
