Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a customer-focused Front End Cashier at our Durham, NC store. You will greet customers, assist in locating products, process sales, returns, and exchanges, and help maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized checkout area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Less than 1 year experience using a computer.
• Less than 1 year experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• 1 year retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as may be required by law.
• Preferred: supervisory experience in any field.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times by following Lowe’s customer service policies and programs.
• Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Gives prompt, knowledgeable answers and escorts customers to product areas as needed.
• Processes sales, returns, and refunds using the register according to company guidelines.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Monitors store area for safety, cleanliness, and proper stock and tags.
