Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer or similar devices.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology (smartphones/tablets).
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service according to Lowe's policies.
• Helps customers locate, demonstrate, select, carry, and load merchandise.
• Responds to questions and guides customers through projects when needed.
• Relays product, stock, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds per guidelines.
• Provides correct monetary change to front-end associates.
• Removes security tags and bags merchandise for customers.
• Supports line vesting and manages register coverage to ensure efficiency.
• Prepares register area at shift start/end and ensures equipment readiness.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages and records relevant details.
• Enters orders, prints tickets, verifies receipts, and signs loading tickets.
• Looks up product information and prices for price matching.
• Tracks all items used in the store on the store use lists.
• Performs cash counting and daily reconciliation as assigned.
• Monitors cash in drawer and cash recycler levels.
• Monitors entrances/exits and assists customers or staff triggering alarms.
• Detects shoplifting signs and communicates risks to management.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness per housekeeping standards.
• Follows safety requirements and equipment usage protocols.
• Operates store equipment as needed (e.g., Zebra phone, CCTV, copiers, scanners).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
