Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information).
• Less than 1 year experience using common retail technology (smartphones/tablets).
• 1 year retail cashier experience.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure if required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service following Lowe's policies.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Answer questions and guide customers through projects in-store.
• Inform customers about stock, special orders, features, warranties and Lowe's programs.
• Support and train associates in department duties and sales opportunities.
• Process sales transactions and returns on the cash register.
• Handle cash and provide correct change.
• Verify product information, remove security tags, and bag merchandise.
• Assist in checkout efficiency and open additional registers as needed.
• Prepare register area at shift start/end; ensure functioning of equipment.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Enter and submit customer orders; print and verify receipts; loading tickets.
• Lookup product information and price-match where applicable.
• Record store use items and complete daily reconciliations.
• Monitor cash drawer and cash recycler levels.
• Monitor store entrances/exits and respond to alarms.
• Identify shoplifting signs and report to management.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
• Operate store equipment as needed (list given).
• Other duties as assigned.
