Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced register team and mentor cashiers and courtesy clerks. You will supervise daily front-end operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and support store processes with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

The role requires 1-2 years cashiering experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is needed to keep the store running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be dependable with flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and move carts for up to 50 hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Visit registers to provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training of new cashiers and handle disciplinary actions.
• Ensure accuracy in cash handling and maintain security and cleanliness.
