The role requires 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training, a friendly, proactive attitude, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• To be a Head Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market you must meet the listed qualifications.
• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor, a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform repetitious tasks, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. and moving carts as described.

Responsibilities

• At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Head Cashier supervises a team of cashiers and assists with store operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by visiting registers and guiding Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist with customer issues at the register and oversee cash register supply levels and cleanliness.
• Maintain security and loss prevention by monitoring exit doors.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training Cashiers and handling disciplinary actions.
