Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure excellent customer service, guide team members, and help with scheduling and training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED, plus 1-2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move carts as described.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Proactively visit registers to provide direction and support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist customers with register-related issues as needed.
• Schedule store sweeps and monitor cash register supply levels; maintain restroom and parking lot cleanliness.
• Maintain visibility for security and loss prevention.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks per policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and disciplinary steps when necessary.
