Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer questions by guiding them through projects in-store
• Communicates product, stock, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
• Performs daily cash handling and reconciliation duties
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters and verifies customer orders and loading tickets
• Looks up product information and price matches for customers
• Maintains store use lists and housekeeping standards
• Operates store equipment as needed for various departments
