Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced cashier team and provide an outstanding customer service experience in a busy store environment.

You will supervise cashiers, support operations, and help hire/train staff while maintaining a strong focus on service quality, efficiency, and store appearance. This role requires reliability, flexibility, and a customer-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED plus 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment (register, calculator, scanner).
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Able to perform repetitious tasks, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move carts up to 35 lbs. for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Proactively visit registers to ensure excellent customer service and provide direction to cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Assist with customer assistance issues at the register.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks per policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and address disciplinary actions.
• Maintain security, cleanliness, and inventory of register-related supplies.
