Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers, ensure exceptional customer service, and support daily store operations. The role involves guiding staff, handling register-related issues, and assisting with hiring and training to maintain a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The position requires 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training, a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and 1–2 years of cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Provide direction and support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist customers with register-related issues as needed.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Participate in hiring and training of new Cashiers and related disciplinary actions.
