Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations. You will ensure excellent customer service, guide cashiers, and help resolve register issues in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and 1–2 years cashiering with leadership training. Expect flexible nights/weekends/holidays, strong communication, and multitasking abilities in a customer-focused grocery setting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old; possess a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Lift/carry up to 30 lbs., up to 50 hours, and move carts up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by guiding cashiers and clerks at registers.
• Assist with customer issues at the register.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks per company policy and state requirements.
• Aid in hiring and training new cashiers and handling disciplinary actions.
• Maintain cleanliness and security, ensuring proper escort of security procedures.
