Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced cashier team and ensure excellent customer service. You will supervise cashiers, assist with store operations, and help with hiring and training while maintaining security and accurate cash handling.

The role requires 18+ with a HS diploma or GED and 1–2 years cashiering experience plus leadership training, flexible scheduling, and a customer-first attitude. Join a growing retailer focused on healthy living and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and able to interact with customers as a role model.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and push/pull groceries as described.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers, cash handling and math.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Schedule and oversee meals and rest breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Involve in hiring and training of new cashiers and disciplinary steps if needed.
• Maintain security and loss prevention by monitoring exit doors and cash handling.
