Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide outstanding service, help customers locate and load merchandise, demonstrate products, and process transactions at the register. You will work on a busy sales floor, answer questions knowledgeably, assist with stock and checkout coverage, maintain a tidy store, and support teammates while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Less than 1 year experience with computers including basic input/output tasks.
• Less than 1 year experience with common retail technology.
• 1 year of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to obtain required sales licensure if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service and follow Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise.
• Respond knowledgeably to questions and guide customers through projects.
• Communicate stock, warranty, and program details to customers.
• Coach and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds at the register.
• Handle money and give proper change to front-end associates.
• Remove security tags, verify product information, and bag merchandise.
• Support checkout coverage and ensure registers are stocked and ready.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Enter and submit orders, print tickets, verify receipts, sign loading tickets.
• Look up product information and price-match when appropriate.
• Record items used in the store on use lists and reconcile cash.
• Monitor cash in drawer and cash recycler levels.
• Monitor store entrances/exits and respond to alarms.
• Detect signs of shoplifting and report to management/Asset Protection.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and a safe, organized store area.
• Adhere to safety requirements and operate store equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
