Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a customer-focused associate in the United States to deliver excellent service at the register and throughout the sales floor. You will help customers locate items, demonstrate features, and process transactions with accuracy while maintaining store standards.

The role requires a strong customer service orientation, basic computer use, and cashier experience. Training and benefits are provided for eligible associates in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology.
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's policies and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise.
• Answers questions knowledgeably and promptly with customers and employees.
• Communicates stock, special order merchandise, features, and warranty information to customers.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds.
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise.
• Assists in line vesting to speed up checkout and open additional registers.
• Prepares register area and stocks supplies.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages.
• Enters and verifies customer orders, prints tickets, and signs loading tickets.
• Looks up product information and compares prices for price matching.
