Job summary

DESC's STAR Center in Seattle seeks a Supervisor to lead the Case Manager team and coordinate housing and services for unsheltered adults with complex behavioral health needs. You will supervise, train, and support staff, manage referrals and partnerships with HOPE and city agencies, and maintain accurate case notes.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, harm reduction, and strong community collaboration to secure housing and wraparound services for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Two years of human services experience, preferably with homelessness or behavioral health populations.
• One year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Master's degree in social work, counseling, administration, public health, or related field (preferred).
• Valid Washington State driver's license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in planning, implementation and coordination of STAR Center services.
• Ensure compliance with relevant contract and procedure requirements.
• Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and communication.
• Promote positive relationships with the surrounding neighborhood.
• Provide supervision and consultation to the team and assist with housing assessments and service planning.
• Coordinate center staffing, hiring and orientation for STAR Center staff.
• Lead training on crisis intervention, harm reduction and client safety.
• Engage clients and maintain relationships through resourceful strategies.
