Job summary

Downtown Emergency Services Center (DESC) in Seattle is seeking a Case Manager for the Crisis Solutions Center to provide stabilization services within a multidisciplinary team. You will create and implement detailed, client-centered plans, support access to community resources, and participate in staff trainings.

The role involves de-escalation, coordination with mental health and SUD teams, and maintaining comprehensive records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field, or 1 year of relevant paid work.
• WA RAAC registration or superseding credential.
• Valid WA driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to obtain a WA Food Handler’s Permit.
• Interest in working with individuals who are difficult to engage in MH/SUD programs.
• Be able to pass a WA State Criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Participate in psychiatric consultations, supervision, and meetings; support CSC case conferences.
• Develop short-term care plans and client-driven goals.
• Facilitate access to community resources and coordinate with external care teams.
• Provide verbal de-escalation and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Maintain clinical and administrative records including goal planners and progress notes.
• Provide transportation for clients when needed.
• Attend onboarding and ongoing trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.
