Job summary

Curaleaf is seeking a Lead Store Associate in Syracuse, NY to drive exceptional guest experiences and lead a high-performing store team. You will model customer-centered service, coach associates, and uphold compliance in a fast-paced cannabis retail environment.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, executing opening/closing duties, managing cash and inventory, and promoting loyalty programs while maintaining a welcoming, compliant store atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year customer-facing or sales experience.
• 1 year of POS systems and cash handling experience.
• 6+ months leadership in retail.
• 6+ months in store operations (opening/closing, cash reconciliation).
• Minimum 6 months as a Store Associate showing consistent performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to create a warm, welcoming environment for guests.
• Coach team to deliver exceptional service with every interaction.
• Encourage personalized product recommendations and expert guidance.
• Drive upselling and loyalty program enrollment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and accurate cash handling.
• Ensure opening/closing procedures and daily huddles are completed.
• Uphold SOPs, safety protocols, and state regulations.
• Provide real-time coaching to drive team performance.
• Collaborate across store stations to support operations.
