Job summary

Curaleaf seeks a Lead Store Associate to drive exceptional customer experiences at our Ocala location. You will guide and coach a retail team, uphold store standards, and play a key role in inventory and operations in a fast-paced cannabis retail setting.

You will be empowered to deliver consultative selling, enroll guests in rewards, maintain POS integrity, and ensure compliance with SOPs and state regulations while achieving daily KPIs.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older.
• HS diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year in a customer-facing or sales role.
• At least 1 year using POS systems and cash handling.
• At least 6 months leadership experience in retail.
• At least 6 months hands-on in store operations including opening/closing and cash reconciliation.
• Minimum 6 months as Store Associate with consistent performance.
• Strong leadership and coaching ability.
• Familiarity with SOPs, safety, loss prevention.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and some overnights.
• Detail-oriented with math and computer aptitude.
• Solution-focused mindset and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to create a warm, welcoming environment and coach your team to deliver exceptional service.
• Drive consultative selling on the floor with open-ended questions and product education.
• Enroll guests in the rewards program and capture customer insights for better experiences.
• Resolve customer concerns with empathy and professionalism to build trust.
• Maintain a clean, organized store and ensure inventory integrity.
• Execute opening/closing duties and cash reconciliation, verify IDs and maintain POS profiles.
• Lead inventory counts and participate in overnight audits.
• Stay informed on promotions and product updates to ensure a seamless experience.
• Uphold SOPs, safety protocols, and state regulations.
• Meet daily KPI goals through upselling and product education.
