Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at an on-site, rustic summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for a designated day part, manage staff, and maintain allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

This seasonal contract runs May–Sept, with full room & board, competitive pay, bonus potential, and travel support. Live-in duties and a demanding 6‑day/70‑hour week are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, I-Pad navigation, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; ensure timely meal service.
• Manage allergen protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan) and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory, budgeting, and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
