Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead on-site meal production for a fast-paced summer camp operation. This role combines hands-on cooking, staff supervision, and allergen safety oversight to deliver scratch-made meals.

The position is seasonal (May–Sept), live-in, on-site at rural camp facilities across the US, with competitive pay, a performance bonus, and room and board included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• Certifications: ServSafe Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, and scratch cooking execution.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
