Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead and oversee all prep and production for designated day part at a busy seasonal camp. You will manage staff, ensure allergen safety, and maintain high culinary standards in a fast-paced, on-site setting.

The role requires hands-on leadership, experience with scratch cooking, and the ability to live on-site in rustic camp facilities. This is a seasonal, full-time exempt position with a demanding 6‑day/70‑hour week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
