Job summary

Wolfoods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead kitchen operations at on-site summer camps across the US. This hands-on role covers prep, production, staff management, and strict allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

The position is seasonal (May–Sept) with full-time, exempt hours, live-on-site, and perks including room & board, travel allowance, and a performance bonus. You must be ready for a demanding 6‑day/70‑hour week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and commit to a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; manage operations flow and portion control.
• Ensure allergen safety protocols and sanitation standards are maintained.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting and budgeting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
