Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for an on-site, live-in role at a rural summer camp. The position is seasonal (May–Sept) with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week, leading kitchen staff and ensuring scratch cooking quality.

Responsibilities include supervising operations, ensuring allergen safety, managing inventory, and serving as a liaison with campers and camp leadership. Perks include room and board, travel allowance, and a bonus structure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date and provided by the company.
• Strong leadership, baking skills, and adaptability in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee scratch cooking, portion control, menu specs, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen safety protocols and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
