Job summary

Target Hospitality is seeking a high-performing Chef III to lead the lodge kitchen in West Texas. You will manage menu planning, inventory, and food safety while developing the kitchen team and ensuring top-tier guest experiences during a 6 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.

Applicants should have 3+ years of culinary experience in remote or hotel settings, strong English communication, and a commitment to safety standards. Housing and meals are provided on rotation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years culinary experience in remote camp or hotel/hospitality.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written & spoken).
• First aid certification is an asset.
• Valid food safety certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Train new hire kitchen staff on processes and policies.
• Educate staff on up-to-date food safety regulations.
• Assist in recruitment through staffing and interviewing potential candidates.
• Define work schedules and responsibilities for direct reports.
• Plan menus with in-stock food items and inventory.
• Manage food inventory and FIFO-based stock control within budget.
• Develop and maintain a FIFO stock rotation plan.
• Prepare meals and cater to guest tastes.
• Maintain ServSafe certification on each shift.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
