Job summary

Target Hospitality in West Texas is seeking a Head Chef to lead kitchen operations on a 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation. You will supervise cooks, ensure HACCP compliance, and partner with the Lodge Manager to execute the menu plan and production strategy.

The role requires 3+ years of culinary experience in remote/hospitality settings, strong English communication, and leadership skills. Expect a dynamic, safety‑driven environment with provided housing and meals on rotation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years culinary experience, preferably in remote camp or hospitality settings.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral, in English.
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
• Valid food safety certification is an asset.
• Willingness to travel and work long rotations away from home.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for maintaining a safety culture and following SOPs, JSAs, and policies.
• Coordinate and oversee preparation, production, and timely service of all meals.
• Supervise kitchen staff and provide culinary guidance to the team.
• Define work schedules and responsibilities for direct reports.
• Assist the Chef in performance reviews of team members.
• Lead daily safety meetings and collaborate on menu strategy.
