Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting
• Appropriate license/permit for trade (Journeyman or Master Electrician), city licenses, operators license, steam engineers license, etc.
• EPA Section 608 Universal certification for refrigerants required
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word
• Experience with HVAC, boilers, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems
• Knowledge of energy management systems and building systems operations
• May require shift work and overtime in priority/emergency situations

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and monitor activities
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks (filters, lamps, bearings, belts, etc.) and inspections
• Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance program
• Develop and maintain building-specific maintenance procedures
• Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors
• Maintain stock and inventory
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns
• Submit monthly building operations reports
• Complete required safety training and adhere to dress code
