Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Lead Building Engineer on-site in Sumner, WA to maintain facilities, manage BMS operations, and drive energy efficiency across a portfolio of buildings. You will develop preventative maintenance programs, supervise vendors, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will monitor electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life-safety systems, analyze performance, and generate reports with KPIs. Occasional travel up to 20% may be required to support sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of related experience or trade school training.
• Experience with building management systems (BMS) including Tridium/Trane.
• Ability to travel up to 20% domestically or internationally.
• Strong communication and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance for building operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust BMS for efficient operation.
• Design and manage a Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Manage and engage vendors for routine maintenance.
• Record tasks in the work order system and perform site walks.
• Develop reports on building efficiency and KPIs.
• Respond to emergencies after hours and coordinate responses.
• Ensure energy management programs minimize operating costs.
