CBRE Group, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Chief Building Engineer to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of buildings, systems, and grounds.

You will lead operations, assign work orders, and train coworkers and subcontractors while coordinating with clients to minimize downtime. The role requires strong leadership, a hands-on approach to facilities management, and the ability to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 5-8 years of related experience.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Experience supervising shift staff and subcontractors is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsabilités

• Lead operations, assign work orders, and train coworkers and subcontractors.
• Plan preventive maintenance with clients to minimize downtime.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to meet design specs.
• Oversee engineering staff work quality and safety.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate resources.
• Develop better methods to achieve department objectives.
• Coach others to develop expertise across disciplines.
• Model CBRE RISE values and influence stakeholders.
