Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC is seeking a Chief Building Engineer to oversee maintenance across residential communities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and asset value. The role emphasizes professionalism in resident and staff interactions and managing capital and preventive projects.

The incumbent must have plumbing and boiler licenses, Building Maintenance Systems experience, and a proven track record in cost-effective maintenance management.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Residential Property Maintenance with 3 years of supervisory experience in the last 5 years.
• A plumbing license is required.
• 3rd Class Boiler Operator License is required.
• 3rd engineer license preferred.
• Experience with Building Maintenance Systems (BMS).
• Must have CFC Universal certification.
• Must have a low- and high-pressure boiler license.
• High-school diploma or GED; vocational/technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform proper operations and maintenance of all mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Oversee the operation of the building’s steam-heating, fire-alarm, and security systems.
• Maintain logs and inspection reports for steam-heating and water-treatment systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Supervise maintenance staff and manage work-orders and capital projects.
• Be reachable after hours for emergencies and critical repairs.
