Job summary

ABM is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee maintenance and operation of mechanical and electrical systems in a commercial property. The role focuses on maximizing system life, reliability, and tenant satisfaction.

You will respond to client requests, manage work orders, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory codes. The position requires 5+ years in engineering leadership, strong communication skills, and experience with building automation systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience at a chief or supervisory level.
• Engineering skill sets applicable to a range of systems, maintenance programs and engines.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and manage regulatory compliance modifications.
• Excellent verbal and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance operations and asset condition within budget to satisfy tenants and clients.
• Oversee maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems; including inspections and reports.
• Coordinate with management, leasing, and project managers to address issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Order materials and manage work assignments to meet schedules and budgets.
• Assist in capital budgeting and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
