Job summary
Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer in Waltham, MA to lead the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems with minimal supervision. The role includes assisting the Chief Engineer and coordinating safety procedures on-site.
The position requires 3–5 years of related experience, trade-school or military background, and an EPA Universal CFC certification or plan to obtain within the first year.
Qualifications
- When applicable, 3-5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
- Trade school education, union training, military service or college are desirable.
- Universal CFC EPA certification or intent to obtain within the first year with JLL support.
Responsibilities
- Lead operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
- Assist Chief Engineer with directing the team.
- Maintain and troubleshoot building systems and equipment.
- Support preventative maintenance programs and on-call responsibilities.
- Maintain CMMS and respond to tenant service requests.
