Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a senior engineer to lead design and delivery of bridge and transportation structure projects in Michigan. You will mentor a team of engineers, guide scope and schedule, and ensure quality across disciplines.

You’ll work closely with project managers and clients, applying advanced engineering methods and design tools to drive successful project outcomes. This role supports multiple locations in Michigan and offers growth opportunities within a nationwide firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience; or
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 7+ years; or
• PhD in Engineering and 6+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design for bridges and transportation structures.
• Direct project planning, work distribution, schedules, and budgets on complex projects.
• Mentor and train design staff and review their work for quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with clients and teaming partners to deliver projects on time.
• Support proposal development and scope of work definition.
