Job summary

HNTB is seeking a senior engineering professional to lead design calculations, technical reports, and project deliverables for Michigan infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with project managers, mentor junior engineers, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery using industry-standard tools.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in bridge design, MDOT experience, and proficiency with industry software.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 5 years, or PhD with 4 years of relevant experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
Experience with MDOT bridge and structure design.

Responsibilities

Plan and distribute discipline-specific work, ensuring schedule and budget adherence.
Assist with proposal generation and marketing tasks.
Develop scope of work and level of effort for projects within discipline.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of project teams’ work and mentor staff.
Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners.
Collaborate across multiple disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
