Job summary

HNTB is looking for an experienced engineer to contribute to design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans for Michigan transportation projects. You will collaborate with project managers, mentors, and clients to deliver accurate solutions on schedule.

The role emphasizes workload planning, proposal support, scope development, and guiding junior staff across multiple disciplines. A PE or advanced degree is preferred, with MDOT bridge design experience and knowledge of the listed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
Experience with MDOT bridge and structure design.

Responsibilities

Plan and distribute discipline-specific work, adhering to schedule and budget on projects.
Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
Assist with the development of scope of work and level of effort for projects within discipline.
Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team's work; guide and mentor team.
Coordinate technical aspects of project with client counterparts and teaming partners.
Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
