Job summary

HNTB seeks a lead engineer in Michigan to direct design calculations, technical reports and plans for bridges and transportation structures. You will consult with the project manager, apply engineering criteria, and deliver solutions on schedule with cross-discipline collaboration.

The role involves mentoring up to 5 engineers, coordinating with clients and partners, and supporting business development and proposals. A PE license and MDOT experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Uses senior-level technical expertise to consider broad range of engineering solutions.
• Leads planning, work distribution, and adherence to schedule and budget on complex projects.
• Mentors and trains design staff of up to 5 engineers and coordinates with clients and partners.
