Job summary

IMEG Corp. is hiring a Bridge Project Designer in Sioux Falls, SD to lead design efforts for bridges, walls, culverts, and related structures.

You will mentor colleagues, manage budgeting and scheduling, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet client expectations on public works projects. The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of experience, Civil 3D proficiency, and willingness to travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of building design consulting experience; 6 preferred.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Proficient with pipe networking and road corridors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design, detailing, and drafting for bridges and related structures.
• Lead design efforts for the analysis of civil engineering projects.
• Develop detailed designs, specifications, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Gather project requirements and communicate technical information to clients.
• Support consulting project execution as part of a project team.
• Manage project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document client design decisions and monitor progress and costs.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical solutions.
• Conduct in-process design reviews and implement quality control.
