Job summary

IMEG Corp. is hiring a Bridge Project Designer in Sioux Falls, SD to lead design efforts for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and related structures. You will mentor staff and collaborate with senior engineers on larger projects, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

The role focuses on civil transportation projects, using Civil 3D and advanced tools to produce detailed designs, calculations, and specifications in adherence with code requirements and IMEG standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5 years minimum experience, 6 preferred in building design consulting.
• Basic understanding of AASHTO LRFD and state DOT design manuals.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and other industry software.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design, detailing, and drafting for bridges and related structures.
• Lead design analysis for civil engineering projects.
• Develop designs, specifications, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Train and mentor colleagues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Manage project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress and costs.
• Conduct design reviews and enforce quality control.
