Job summary

IMEG Corp. in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Bridge Project Designer to lead structural design for bridges and related crossings. You will collaborate with senior engineers and use Civil 3D to deliver code-compliant designs that meet client expectations.

You will manage project planning, budgeting, and scheduling, mentor colleagues, and communicate effectively with clients to drive successful outcomes. This role involves travel up to 15% and requires strong collaboration with multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in building design consulting; 6 preferred.
• Proficient with AASHTO LRFD and state DOT design manuals.
• Proficient with Civil 3D and road/corridor design.
• Strong mentoring and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design, detailing, and drafting for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other transportation structures.
• Lead design efforts for analysis of civil engineering projects.
• Use engineering software to develop detailed designs, specs, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Gather project requirements and communicate technical information to clients.
• Support consulting project execution as part of a project team.
• Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities to meet deadlines.
