Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking a Lead Alterations Specialist responsible for completing fittings and alterations to high standards, reporting to the Store Manager. You will demonstrate friendly, knowledgeable and technical expertise while delivering superior customer service.

Key duties include overseeing alterations fittings, sewing, steaming, and finishing garments, training staff, communicating sales goals, and promoting alterations services to ensure every gown fits perfectly for our brides.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior sewing/alterations experience, preferably in bridal or special occasions.
• 1-2 years retail apparel or specialty store experience.
• Experience with computerized POS system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and resolve questions with product and service information.
• Lead alterations fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing and spot cleaning to standards.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and alterations.
• Train Alterations Specialists in fitting and sewing techniques.
• Communicate daily sales goals to Store Manager.
