Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking a Lead Alterations Specialist to oversee fittings, sewing, steaming and quality control of garments. You will train staff, consult on gown fit and customization, and drive a 5-star customer experience in a full-time store role.

Responsibilities include client-facing service, appointments, and promoting all alteration services while maintaining high dress-code standards and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or degree.
• Prior sewing experience preferred, especially bridal or special occasion production.
• 1-2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store environment.
• Prior experience with a computerized POS system and ability to use one.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm in person and over the phone; provide product and service information.
• Drive customer loyalty by calls to maximize appointments and provide exceptional service.
• Serve as Floor Manager during peak times to offer fit and alterations consultations.
• Consult with customers regarding gown fit and customization; promote alteration services and personalization options.
• Lead all alterations fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing and spot cleaning to standards.
• Maintain quality control and inspect garments before delivery to customers.
• Train alterations staff in fitting and sewing techniques and ensure product education.
